e Swatini calls for Africa to take its rightful place on the world stage at PAP opening ceremony

MIDRAND, May 7 (ANA) – At the opening of the Sixth Ordinary Session of the Pan African Parliament’s (PAP) Fourth Parliament on Monday e Swatini, formerly known as Swaziland until it’s recent name change, greeted the gathering under its new name.

The spokesperson also congratulated Morocco for re-joining the African Union (AU) after it withdrew from the AU’s predecessor, the OAU (Organisation of African Unity) in 1984, two years after the admission of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, which is occupied by Morocco, as an independent state.

e Swatini also said the task of PAP was to take Africa to another level and for the continent to take it’s rightful position in the world.
