JOHANNESBURG, March 2 – The health of the world’s last male northern white rhino has deteriorated, bringing the rhino sub-species a step closer to extinction caused by poaching, AP reported.
The health of a 45-year-old rhino named Sudan, who lives with the last two female northern white rhinos in Kenya, continues to deteriorate despite 24-hour care by veterinarians, Kenya’s Ol Pejeta Conservancy said after he earlier appeared to be recovering from a serious infection.
