Two dead, one suffers serious injuries in Midlands truck crash


JOHANNESBURG, November 16 – Two people died on Friday morning and another was seriously injured when three heavy motor vehicles were involved in a collision along the R103 Nottingham Road in Midlands, KwaZulu-Natal.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst said: “Sadly two occupants of one of the trucks had died and one occupant of another truck was left in a serious condition”.

Herbst said the injured patient was treated on scene by an Advanced life support paramedic before being taken to a hospital.

Authorities were on scene probing the cause of the fatal crash.
