Port Elizabeth traffic officers find 45 learners crammed in minibus, arrest driver


PORT ELIZABETH, April 12 (ANA) – Traffic officers nabbed a minibus driver on Thursday after he was caught transporting 45 high school pupils in a 16-seater in Port Elizabeth.

Eastern Cape traffic spokesman Charles Bramwell said the driver was pulled over in Colorado Avenue, Bethelsdorp.

The driver was arrested on charges of overloading and resisting arrest.

Bramwell said a case was registered at the Algoa Park Police Station and the suspect was detained.
